I really don't like their music, but they are my husband's favorite band. His favorite book was also written by their drummer. The book is about his cross country motorcycle trip taken after his wife and child died.
I hate their music. I can't stand Geddy Lee's voice either. But, I think they are good people. H is a fan, and I will watch a interview with them, as long as they don't play.
(Also for the record, I hate the Tragically Hip. Since I'm disclosing my hate for one of Canada's biggest and most loved musical acts, I thought I'd disclose the other one too).

My husband is obsessed. I'd never heard of them until I met him, but i like them now. They will be here in the Fall and i may be a nice wife and surprise him with tickets. I almost bought "Big Time Rush' tickets -- oops!

Yes! This. I feel like a bad Canadian for my dislike of these two bands. My friend said it best though when he told me if another band murdered his entire family, Rush would still be his most hated band. lol.
I do love me some Barenaked Ladies, so maybe that makes it up a little.

Yes. H and I are going to see them on our anniversary. They aren't my favorite band ever, but I do like them a lot. I have to make myself forget that some of the songs are pro-Ayn Rand.
