I just finished Flowers in the Attic (for fun). I started The Feast of All Saints (for the TIP Book Club). I have to hit up the library tomorrow to pick up The Portable Dorothy Parker (for my challenge).
In regards to weekend plans- going to see Fiona Apple tonight, going to see Ted tomorrow and possibly Magic Mike on Sunday!
I'm going with a coworker to see Magic Mike at 4 today :-) Excited for the movie and to be leaving the office early. Dinner and drinks are happening after. I've got a ton of schoolwork to do this weekend so that's mostly what I'll be doing.
I started reading Anna Karenina last night, so hopefully I'll be able to make some progress on that this weekend as well.
I'm almost done with Lover Awakened (BDB #3) and then i'll probably go back to reading The Girl Who Was On Fire: Your Favorite Authors on Suzanne Collin's Hunger Games Series
ETA: as for this weekend, I have a family day at the races on Sunday. The rest of the weekend I will be hiding indoors in the air conditioning.

I'm still on The Bachman Books--I'm reading "Roadwork" now. Have to say, loved "The Long Walk." I can't believe it's the first novel King wrote. I hope my first novel's as powerful and affecting. But given what I'm writing, it definitely won't be as dark!
I'm going to try to finish The Bachman Books by the end of the weekend so I can start my next book. Not sure what it'll be just yet.
I'm reading HP #4. It's a long one, but I hope to finish it over the weekend. I don't dislike HP, but I don't love it either. I fear that makes me a bad geek.
I just finished On the Island (it was great!) and I'm not sure what I'm going to start. I was going to try a Barbara Freethy book I borrowed from the library, so I'll probably start that.
I'm a little over halfway through Unbroken on audio. Amazing. Just amazing.
I am still reading To End All Wars and I just started The Lightening Thief by Rick Riordan, which a coworker forced into my hand and told me I had to read because it's awesome. It's enjoyable so far, and I think it will be a quick read. I hope to finish those this weekend.
I have next Wednesday-Sunday off. My days are filling fast, but I HOPE to get a lot of reading done.
In regards to weekend plans- going to see Fiona Apple tonight
We're going tomorrow, and I can't wait! We managed to score third row seats, probably because I called instead of battling the website.
I just finished up A Great and Terrible Beauty last night, and I am kind of on the fence about reading the next one. I liked it, a lot, but I don't know if I want to bother reading any more.
This morning, I started Loving Frank. I'm only about 20 pages in, but I'm concerned that Mamah is going to annoy me.

I a rereading A Thousand Splendid Suns and plan to start Death Comes for the Archbishop by Monday at the latest. I am going to a big family dinner tonight and will hopefully be going to the art museum and for sushi tomorrow with DF, so I am not sure how much reading I will actually get done.

It was a slow reading week for me, so I am still reading Perfume: The Story of a Murderer. And DH and I are still sharing Waiting for Gertrude and Life, the Universe and Everything during our weekly story-time.
I'm taking my son to a water park on Saturday and have plans to get in a round of golf Sunday morning and then I'm seeing Magic Mike later in the afternoon with a friend. Quite the busy weekend for me:)
As for books I'm hoping to finish A Certain Slant of Light tomorrow and then I might start The Lord of the Rings or the second Game of Thrones book.
Finishing up The Fault in Our Stars (hopefully this weekend). Then I need to reread some of the novels for when schools starts, especially the books my honors kids are doing for summer reading. (Gatsby and Lord of the Flies)

We've had a really busy weekend. I feel like I haven't had any time to read :-(
Friday, I took the girls down to my MIL's house and we swam in her pool all afternoon. Then we all went to Target and grocery shopping at night - blah!
Saturday, we went to a free community festival with the kids. There were all sorts of rides, face painting, pony rides, live music, etc all for free! At night, we took the girls out to a restaurant on the lake (my FIL plays the keyboard and sings here every Saturday so Abigail likes to go and dance) for dinner. We sat on a friend's boat and watched some fireworks afterward.
Today we've mainly just bummed around the house. My MIL invited us over to swim again but I don't think I want to go. We're all a little tired/cranky from the heat and from all the running around we've been doing the past few days. Plus, I'm super behind on housework.
