December is here! So that means Christmas music, woo hoo :-) We had a nice Thanksgiving dinner over the weekend, and now I'm so ready for the holidays.
Today is working then off to teach Zumba. Probably my last one on campus, since classes end this week for the students. Then running a few errands this evening. Nothing too exciting!
QOTD: Yes, definitely trying to take advantage of deals! I desperately need to Christmas shop, so hoping to get a few things ordered today. I received a gift card for The Limited from my IL's for my birthday, so I'd like to spend it today with all the sales! Gap and Banana are also having 40% off, so I may buy some jeans. Decisions, decisions!

Good Morning! Happy December! It's the first day of present season for me in the next 6 weeks, I have: aunt's birthday, cousin's birthday, MIL's birthday, BFF's birthday, cousin's baby shower, Christmas, Dad's birthday, IL's 50th wedding anniversary, Mom's birthday (NYE) and in January, godmother's birthday, brother & SIL's anniversary, cousin's son's birthday, and the last in a long line, DH's and my anniversary! Today I finished my Christmas cards, and worked out a gift list. Other than that, the plan is to stay as cool as possible now that summer has hit.
QOTD: I ordered a couple of calendars and did some window shopping for gifts.

Morning! Dorothy, do you really get presents for all of those relatives (I mean, the close family and shower, sure, but other people's anniversaries, aunts' birthdays, second cousins, etc)?? Wow! We get presents for our parents and our nieces/nephews and godchildren, but that's it. We made deals with our siblings that presents at this age just don't make sense anymore. And our godchildren and nieces/nephews do not get presents for us (nor do our children give theirs presents).
QOTD: I may go have a look. My problem is that I do need a couple of big electronic items, but for tax reasons I'd like to hold off until January. If I find a really good deal I might cave, though.

Hi there! I had a good weekend over all. I caught up with various friends and family. Yesterday I went with a Swedish friend to a Swedish Christmas service with a Santa Lucia parade in which the Swedish Ambassador also spoke. It was pretty cool. The we went out to dinner. I was also able to Skype with some friends who are abroad.
QOTD: I'm not shopping Cyber Monday because I did shop Black Friday online. I needed to get a new laptop because mine is wearing out. I found a deal that I liked on Amazon, $180 off. I'm not someone who is going to go and check to see if I could have gotten a better deal. Once I buy something, I don't go back and second guess myself.
Hi there. I'm sitting at the kitchen table with radio and washing machine going in the background, dd2 falling asleep in my arms, dd1 playing with pink play doh. I really should lay the fire.
This morning we went for a walk searching for pine cones, though we weren't too successful. I'll have to search harder to find some good enough to decorate!
QOTD: I don't know. Might have a quick look while I sit here...

Hello!
My LO has a stomach bug so today has not been so fun. We had a lot of fun activities for this week but we are going to be stuck at home at least another day.
QOTD: I bought too much from Amazon the last week. I need a spending freeze.

Happy late afternoon (in London). I had my placement this morning, did some reading at the British Library and then did grocery shopping. Hoping to go to gym tonight and eating leftovers.
QOTD: Nope. We're boycotting Christmas and spending now that I don't have a job. It sucks a lot as there are a bunch of things I'd love to buy, but we don't have the money for it. Oh, well.
I finally bought a baby gift this CyberMonday for my friend's baby who was born in July. I also got one more Christmas present for DD, although I might save this one as a Three Kings' Day gift. I bought the rest of her xmas presents already.
I'll probably do the bulk of my xmas gift shopping for my parents, DH & etc. at one of the local Christmas markets, either Bryant Park or Union Square.
Nothing exciting going on here. Got home from work in time to go to a class at the gym, so was pretty stoked about that. Made pizza for dinner, and am now just enjoying my beer while H does the dishes.
I forgot about cyber Monday until now. Might have a look online... We are just doing stockings this year since I changed jobs and this one doesn't come with an awesome Christmas bonus (though there are other advantages). We don't do presents for our parents, nor for any nieces or nephews, but with H being a student I don't think anyone expects us to.
