My sister and niece came to pick up the kitty this morning. My niece was so excited she was beaming and my sister said she hadn't smiled like that in the month since her grandfather passed away. She came over and gave me a huge hug and said in my whole life I could never wish for a better aunt. Cue the tears, I have struggled so much the last three years, it means the world to me that through that I was still able to be there for her and be a positive influence on her.
On the ex-husband front, apparently he found out because my niece posted on facebook that her favorite kitty Rufus was coming to live with her. I'm not sure how he saw it because her profile is private, but at least my friends weren't the ones that said anything. (My guess on what happened is that he used a computer at one of our mutual friend's home who was logged into facebook and decided to be a creeper) He hasn't emailed me again after the third one, so hopefully he's found something else to distract him.

I honestly think there is something going on with him mentally. He never acted like this when we were together, but in the last six months of marriage he changed drastically, I thought it was because he was cheating. Now I think maybe the cheating was a symptom of something bigger going on. I can't worry about it, or him though, he has already taken enough emotional energy from me. I've tried blocking his email, its useless, he just goes and makes another free account and emails me. I think this most recent bout of nastiness was prompted because he found out that I am dating someone seriously, I'm guessing he also saw that while creeping facebook.

As far as I know he is still married and he has a little girl with his new wife. I don't ask about him, so I have no idea what the state of their relationship is. He is clearly not happy now.
