Yes! It reminded me a little of Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell (which I highly recommend). As in, each chapter was a different character, but they were all interconnected or connected to another character in the book. I really liked the format! I found it to be an enjoyable book.

Loved it! I think Olive Kitteridge is set up in a similar way (and also won the Pulitzer), but I haven't gotten to it yet--it's on the to-read list, though. I found Goon Squad to be pretty inspiring and engaging, especially after I heard Egan talk and found out about how she goes about writing. The book has an energy that I can't describe. And it's just smart.
I'd have to say my favorite book in the past year is either Next by James Hynes or The Hummingbird's Daughter by Luis Alberto Urrea.
