S.O. was giving DS a bath tonight, and we noticed that he has two very clear bite marks on his back, between his shoulder blades.
We didn't get a phone call or an incident report from daycare (is that normal for bites? We got one when he was scratched on his face by another child), so we're not sure if they're aware it happened.
Should I email them, or have S.O. mention it during drop-off tomorrow?
The other "problem" is that DS is currently transitioning into the 2-year-old room, so we're not sure if it happened in the Older Toddlers Room or the 2-Year-Olds room.
I would definitely mention it. My DS was bitten several times and the only one they ever noticed was on his arm right where his shirt stopped. He never cried/made a peep.
My kid's daycare just got out of the everyone bites phase. My DC was great about telling me but once in awhile, she'd just honestly forget, esp. if it happened at 8 in the morning and wasn't in a totally visible spot. When she forgot I'd just say, "Hey, I noticed R had bite marks yesterday." Then she tell me what happened.
Honestly, though after awhile, I kind of quit caring. It was the same 2 kids over and over again in the same set up scenario. Everyone was doing the best they could at the time. I didn't really feel the need to keep pointing it out because well..what was anyone going to do about it.

This is the first time we've seen bite marks on him. We don't know if it's a new problem than another child is developing, or if its an ongoing problem that they're already aware of.
ETA: I know it's a developmental thing, a phase some kids go through, I'm certainly not uber pissed or anything. I just want them to be aware if it's something new.

S.O. mentioned it to the Older Toddlers teacher, who was not aware the biting happening, but thanked him for bringing it to her attention. The 2s teacher was not in yet but the first teacher promised to mention it to her.
