Because we have 7 inches of snow and they are calling for a low of -4. What.the.fuck. If I'm going to deal with this, I want to live somewhere better! Any bets on how high our gas bill is going to be next month? lol.
In the 30s. For South Texas that is cold, I'm not that bothered by it because I have been in Chicago, New York, Tennessee and Kentucky for the past three weeks so I've grown accustomed.
-2 with four inches of snow expected tomorrow. When people ask why I moved here from California, I cheerily answer "Why, for the weather, of course!" just to watch their expressions.

Cold! I spent today photographing frozen waterfalls. It's not as cold as some parts of the country (low tonight is supposed to be 9 degrees), but I've lived in this state for over 20 years and have always wanted to see our waterfalls frozen, but this was the first time I've actually done it.
My parents say it's supposed to be the coldest night around here since 1972. My mom says she remembers that night... Her pipes froze.

Mid-80's. It was a gorgeous day, but it's awfully weird to hang Christmas lights in shorts. I'm ready for it to get cold again! (Which usually means mid 60's for us, at least this time of year. January is colder.)
-21 with a "feels like" of -42 and a warning to limit outdoor exposure due to wind chill.
There is ice inside all of our windows. Our house was built in 2009. It's 64 in our house. There is an 85 degree difference between inside and outside.
3 degrees and we have had even below freezing temps at night since wed. I think this Wed it will finally start to warm up and hopefully melt all the snow we got. I hate this cold weather!

DFW. 3-4" of ice yesterday. Didn't go anywhere yesterday, didn't go anywhere today, and most likely won't go anywhere tomorrow (by car... we did go for some walks). Anything that melts during our 3 hours above freezing tomorrow will refreeze Sunday night, so I might work from home Monday if DH decides to skip work (he can't log in from home). Again on Monday, we'll get a few hours of warmth, but things might refreeze. Tuesday is our "maybe back to normal" day. I think I'll have to go out Monday during our tiny window and get food for the week as we're getting annoyingly low.
I came from the northeast, so I understand a full week of not reaching above freezing. But ladies, there are NO PLOWS here. No one has come down my street or the 3 streets between me and the highway. No sand, no salt, nothing.
The sleet we got is so frozen that your feet don't sink in as you walk. An empty parking lot seriously looks like an ice skating rink.
We got a storm like this 10 years ago, but it got above freezing within 36 hours, so it melted. This one is definitely worse.
Signed, feeling guilty to be stuck in the house and still not motivated enough to clean it.

I would classify Seattle's current weather as "Really fucking cold".
I was in Austin, TX for three days this week... 75 degrees when I landed and in the 30s when I left. I would also classify this as "really fucking cold".
Yeah, my exact words were going to be "really fucking cold for Seattle in December." But it's clear and sunny, so it's still better than winter storm '06.

In the 30s which is definitely cold for here but I'm enjoying it. We got our Christmas tree yesterday and it was nice to do it in seasonal weather, unlike last year when it was 80 degrees the day we got our tree. No thanks.
Our weather has been back and forth for the last 2 weeks...one day I'll have the AC on, the next the heat. I wish it would just make up its mind!

Right now it's 5 degrees and lightly snowing. The "feels like temp" is negative 3. The high says 20! It's been like this the last couple days and looks like it will continue through the week. Lovely.
