I like the ones that are pretty much ground up nuts and butter, rolled in powdered sugar. They have a few names but I think Italian wedding cookies are the most common. They just MELT in your mouth. Mmmmmm

Yes! Like these? I make them every year. We always called them nut fingers (I do the oblong shape.)
Does anyone have an amazing sugar cookie recipe? I make really pretty sugar cookies w/royal icing, and they're good, but I have yet to find a sugar cookie recipe that blows me away.

My mom and sister make the best chocolate chip cookies. Also, my sister makes my grandmother's fudge recipe which is fantastic. I also like divinity this time of year, but this year is probably too humid for it to set.
Last year I made these and these. This year I'm going to try spiked eggnog sugar cookies. And maybe this.

This is my go to sugar cookie recipe. Chilled cookie sheets and chilling the cookies before baking are key.
This is the one I've been using for years, too, and people always ask for the recipe. It's a good one! I either do them up with royal icing or dip them in chocolate and put sprinkles on them. Also do the pecan balls, Hershey Kiss macaroons, pecan bars, and fudge.

I use this one cakecentral.com/a/no-fail-sugar-cookies. It tastes good, and holds up very well. I also use her instructions for rolling out. It makes the whole process so easy!

Russian tea cakes catalas (not sure what the actual name is, just what my mom always called them - Italian pastry dough that you makes into a pinwheel/flower shape, fry, then dip in honey) lebkuchen (German spice bar cookie) Peanut butter kisses
I love decorating sugar cookies, but I never go crazy about eating them.
