I'm leaving in a bit to go to the British Library, followed by a counselling session at UCL, then a hospital appointment (I'm okay, just need a scan) and then a night out with my hockey friends to celebrate Christmas (I'm excited because I found a reindeer onesy from Primark for £8 which was in the limit for our secret santa party).
QOTD: Right now, my favourite person is Nigel Slater, though I also have a huge chef crush on Michel Roux, Jr.

Good evening. Today was an easy day, though it started at a quarter to 5 with a literal catfight on the porch outside my bedroom window. I made DH get up and out in the pouring rain to make sure the combatants were okay enough to make it home (they were). I made a great dinner -- turkey & dumpling soup in the crockpot with my leftover Thanksgiving turkey -- and DH surprised me with ice cream bars for dessert. In between I caught up with the episodes of Major Crimes I had downloaded and began the finishing touched for my MIL's stocking; I'll get it done before Christmas!
QOTD: I really like Alton Brown's Good Eats, though he's not a chef. And I really enjoyed James Barber's The Urban Peasant, but again, he was not a chef. And I never missed an episode of Breaking Bread with Father Dominic, but he wasn't a true chef either, though he was a real Benedictine monk. I guess I don't have a favorite tv chef, but Jamie Shannon was pretty awesome, and a really nice guy (he was executive chef at Commander's Palace in New Orleans before he died.)

Not much going on today. I'm hoping both of the girls nap for a while today to give me a nice break.
QOTD: I like to watch two German cooking shows, but not necessarily because of the chefs, just because it's a relaxing thing to watch during the girls' naptime if I want to veg.

Morning. Not much today here either. Still in the US at my parents and enjoying some quiet time in between a lot of more driving and visits.
QOTD: In terms of recipes I use most often, it would be Giada De Laurentis. Otherwise, I like watching Ina Garten. I also used to have a crush on Jamie Oliver back when he was the Naked Chef.

Hi there, I'm a little late showing up but hopefully that is ok. I've been a bit busy.
QOTD: I watch cooking shows sometimes but I'm not sure that I have a favorite chef. I agree that Jamie Oliver was hot in his Naked Chef days, not so much anymore. I'm not that crazy about his food though. I guess that I like watching all kinds of different chefs and seeing the variety. When I lived in England, I loved a show called Saturday Morning Kitchen, I think. I remember people trying to frantically cook eggs against a timer.
