What a nice surprise. Thanks Stellas and all of you guys for the sweet compliments! Lol at banana parrot. Layla was notorious for turning her head to the side and doing the cheek swipe. Drove me crazy.

I had no idea tinybride does this. Great work! I love admiring other crafter's work.
I'm looking to start my own handmade items business in the new year, probably a mix of crochet, knit, and sewn items, possibly a few other things. Any tips? Do you use etsy? Is it worth it?
LauraMoser In October I did a little interview on Veronika's Blog where I shared some tips which may be helpful, especially if you're wanting to start your home business and you have children.
Etsy is a good place to start if you don't mind paying 20 cent listing fee's and then paying a fee for every transaction. When I started last fall I went with my own website because I liked the fact that I could design it and write whatever content I wanted too. I found a decent priced web hosting service and it also wasn't much at all to register my domain. It's good to be diverse so I did sign up on Etsy in January, and it's been ok. I've made a decent number of sales there considering I never promote my Etsy (just my website) so any traffic has just been from people finding me on there. Aside from the fee's though, one of the reasons I shied away from Etsy at first is because I wanted to get into boutiques right away and wanted a professional looking website to direct them too.
Lol Papie! Well you wouldn't see much if you came in here for that!

Stellas, I was in Itsy Bitsy boutique in River Oaks, but I know she's all sold out by now. I emailed about a month ago with new product pics/updates but it kept coming back undeliverable and I just haven't gotten back to it. I need to get in touch with her. Things just get crazy with the family and the limited time I have to work on this stuff. I'm also in a boutique in Hong Kong-Babylicious, and I've been approached by two subscription based retailers but their payment terms weren't going to work for me. I really haven't been working on approaching more boutiques in a good while, but maybe I will slowly again next month.
