I didn't have any bloody show before my water broke with DD. I just woke up in a (small) puddle. It trickled out the rest of the day, but nothing more than a pad could handle.
It smelled different than regular discharge - more pungent and amonia-y.

I never had bloody show and my water broke in the hospital while I was laying in the bed. It felt like I peed myself and then I kind of shifted and it gushed. I didn't loose most of my amniotic fluid until I was pushing though. When you cough does more come out?

My water breaking was a very obvious, gushing flow. I had to sit on the toilet and just let er rip. It was an awkward drive to the hospital that involved towels and trash bags, lol.
I had no bloody show or mucous plug loss or anything.
It doesn't necessarily have to gush for it to be your water breaking. It's reasonable to wait for a while, but if it is your water breaking and labor doesn't kick-start, you're at higher risk for infection. Just something to keep in mind, but it sounds like you've got things under control. Good luck!
Called midwife and she said to put a fresh panty liner on and go home to rest. If I soak through it she'll have me come to the birth center to do the swab test for amniotic fluid. If it's positive it's baby watch time!
God I hope I didn't pee myself.
I totally called and I'd just peed myself. They were life nbd, happens all the time.

I posted on GBCN "How do I know if I peed myself, or did my water just break, because I am not calling H home from a jobsite an hour away just to have him return and say my wife peed her pants" and 4 replies in it GUSHED everywhere. There will probably be a lot more, or you'll start having contractions. (My water broke early-ish in the morning and I did not have a single contraction until 5:30 p.m.)
Good luck! My water broke dramatically and I never lost my mucus plug.
I know you want this to be it. I would too. However, my OB always says that your chance of complications, stalled labor or needing a c-section go up if your labor starts with water breaking rather than contractions. Regular contractions suggest that your body and the baby are ready. Water breaking doesn't. It just means the membranes have ruptured for some reason.
How does she know it is just your chorion and not your amnion? I am not aware if any diagnostic tests that can differentiate. Did you stop leaking or is the fluid still coming?
