I posted a question last week about introducing a 2nd dog to our home. I spoke with our behaviorist prior to bringing him home, and honestly, I don't think things could be going better. We really lucked out with the new guy though. Just an FYI of how we did the intro... I picked up the rescue from the airport - I hated having him fly, but he seems to be ok. I brought him home alone so he could explore on his own without being overwhelmed with another dog. My husband had already left to take our 1st dog out for a walk to tire her out - then I met up with them and new dog for a walk. At first the new dog was skiddish, and my first dog was over excited, but 10 minutes into the walk, both dogs were side-by-side walking nicely. We all came home and let them check eachother out. They have been playing/sleeping and playing/sleeping some more. The only issue we have so far is that my first dog is a bit of a "frustration barker" so if he doesn't pay attention to her or feel like playing, she barks in his ear. I'm hoping as he gets more comfortable he'll tell her off. Anyway, just wanted to share - thanks for reading! And if anyone has advice for the barking, I would certainly appreciate it
