Golden Globe and SAG nominations

Thoughts?  This year seems really weird.  I don't even want to predict...

Redford got snubbed at SAG, Oprah at the GGs.

I hate that supporting actress/actor are all lumped together for the GG despite what kind of show (drama, comedy, miniseries, etc).

I would like to see wins for The Good Wife this year, it has been fucking amazing. Also rooting for House of Cards and OITNB

It was surprising how Good Wife and Margulies didn't do well with SAG. I was happy to see Corey Stoll get a nomination for the GG. I really liked House of Cards.

If I had to pick Oscar winners right now, I'd go with 12 Years a Slave, Cuaron, Cate, Leto, Lupita, and Chiwetel. We'll see.

I am so excited that Tatiana Maslany was nominated for Orphan Black. She didn't get an Emmy nod and I think she very much deserves all the awards ever!

Otherwise, I'm excited for Parks and Rec and Amy.

I'm feeling a bit blah about the films nominated. Even though I need to work on seeing more.

I'm surprised by how many shows and actors WEREN'T nominated. No Game of Thrones, Mad Men, or Walking Dead? I was a little surprised by Homeland getting snubbed, but this season started off so slow and weird I'm not that shocked.

I need to get on watching the nominated movies.

I haven't seen a really great movie yet this year, so I'm hopeful I'm in for some good ones--I've seen Blue Jasmin, Gravity, Dallas Buyers Club, American Hustle, Nebraska.

Planning to see Wolf of Wall Street and 12 Years a Slave in the next week.

A few predictions: American Hustle, Gravity, Cuaron, Lupita Nyongo, Matthew McConaughey, Amy Adams, Leonardo DiCaprio (possibly Dern)

I could see them liking House of Cards in television.

I cannot believe Jennifer Lawrence won the GG. Her accent was so bad. Especially compared to Lupita Nyongo who was so phenomenal.

I'm feeling cranky about movies this year. Everything but 12 Years a Slave was pretty weak.

I still need to see Her, Philiomena, Saving Mr Banks at the least. Hopeful that something else is good.

Usually SAG gets things a little more right.
