Yeah, that shirt sucks. Technically it's correct, but sometimes it is worth it to put effort into unfun things because they payoff better in the long run.

In what way are boys better than books? For carrying heavy loads, cooking dinner, sex, and making snowmen, sure. But there are probably far more things that books do better than boys.
Of course it depends on the book and on the boy, but since most of us have easier access to (for example) A Brief History of Time than to Stephen Hawking himself, one could argue that the book is still better. Because really what are the chances that Stephen is going to return our calls?
Not to mention all the boys who are dead and gone, but have left their books behind. In spite of his wisdom, Pythagorus probably isn't going to be as good as your high school math book at solving geometry problems anymore. If you can even find some of him.

I was just coming in to ask this. Books are the most amazing thing in the world, IMO, and way better than boys any day of the week.
Sorry, I figured that by "better" the shirt meant "more fun." Hanging out with my sweetie was waaaaaaaaaay more fun than reading my thermodynamics textbook.
From a broader perspective books are more important.

This is some seriously horrible bullshit. Possibly worse than the shirt in the OP.
If you think books aren't fun you've been reading the wrong ones.

Plus, fun books are always fun. My XH was definitely not always fun.
I'm married to an awesome fella, and even I subtract time I could be spending laughing and having fun with him, to put towards reading a book that's got me in the zone.
