So.. will they be apt to repeat this 3 month visit anytime soon? For your sake I hope not.
Not for a long long time and next time I have scared them enough to consider only a month long visit.
Of course if I had a kid, then they would come for six months. But yay, free daycare?
I don't want to think about it, it's too soon
Six months??? That's half a year, omg! Free daycare wouldn't be worth it to me.
My mom came for a month to "help" when my son was born. By help, she meant taking my car and going shopping for hours at a time and critiquing my parenting ("I can't believe they tell you not to give them water!" etc.)

Yeah, I told my H, if they are expecting home cooked meals three times a day and the whole deal, they better not come here when I have a kid.
Yeah you're lucky if you manage to feed yourself when you have a newborn. My mom would ask me every night what the dinner plans were, and yet never offered to help cook or grocery shop. I'm not looking forward to doing this all over again in July.
oh and I just got Naked 3 this week and it's gorgeous! I think it's my favorite Naked palette.
I'm so glad you survived! I don't think my IL's even compare to yours and I would go insane spending more than a week with them.
And if you want to start drinking Bailey's is a wonderful place to start. Add it to coffee, or hot chocolate, or chocolate milk, or sip it. Kahlua is also nice. And I love a well made Irish coffee.

Congratulations on surviving this without killing anyone (from the girl who lived with her Indian ILs for six months while getting our house remodelled).

Poor you. How did you survive?
They are luckily very lovely, and my MIL wouldn't let me clean at all (yay), helped me do my laundry and I didn't have to cook much. The worse part for me was sharing a bathroom (the only one in the house) and not having total privacy (having the space to NOT wear a bra is more important than you'd ever imagine...but I think you do understand). I think it was harder on my DH as his dad kept going on about renting out our house and staying for life (no frickin' way).
