I bought a few pairs of ON rockstar jeans and even though they were 2 sizes bigger than pre-pregnancy, I felt so skinny zipping up REAL pants! Lol.
They're obviously not maternity, but went into the mat storage bins for next time.
I did this exact same thing, down to the type of jean! I held off as long as I could, but I eventually needed to buy a pair or two of in between jeans. I didn't finish losing the baby weight for 6 months- way too long to be in yoga pants!
Lol, I'll never forget how hot I felt marching out of old navy (yes I wore them out of the store) in my rockstars thinking "look at my fucking hot skinny self!" in jeans that were a size that would've made me gasp pre pregnancy, lol.
I was swollen like a hippo in august, so although I did gain a good amount of weight (38 pounds) I lost it quickly bc I'm pretty sure it was a lot of water.
I just avoided wearing pants. I had some maternity jeans that just had stretchy stuff at the hips, and I those on the weekends when it was cold. Sometimes I wore pants at work unbuttoned (and partially unzipped), with a long stretchy maternity tank over them and then my work shirt on top of that.
I am using a compression belt this time to try to get my hips back to their pre-Joanna size. I have a few hundred dollars worth of jeans I'd like to wear again.
Do you think a compression belt will work 20 months later? I want to try it. I fit in all my PP clothes, but my hips are wider and I don't like it.
OP- I had my babies in April and wore a lot of foldover short skirts from Target and Gap. Or boxer type shorts in the house with a tank top since I constantly had a baby on my boob.
After my first I wore no pants for about 3 months (she was born in July), after the 2nd I wore pj's a lot, after the 3rd I discovered yoga pants and my life has been changed.
I will never see the pants I fit into pre-DD1 fitting on me again unless I have a leg, a few ribs, part of my pelvis and my ass removed. There were tears when I donated them all. I did but some leggings and a few larger sized pants though after DD1. But pretty much I wore either what is above or my maternity pants. No shame here.
