I freaking LOVE wrapping! I don't do anything fancy for anyone but my MIL because no one else cares. But I rock hers out. I just need to finish stitching it so I can wrap it :^)
I need to learn how to do fun bows...how did you learn?
We've posted our trees but has anyone else started their wrapping yet? It is my favorite part of the decorating, I'm sick I know. I learned a new bow this year, so I feel like showing off
Beautiful! I bought nice ribbon like that this year, but I have no idea how to make those fancy bows. How did you learn?

Jermys and justdance I used to have a part time job at The Container Store and they're crazy about wrapping for Christmas, there are even demos every weekend during the holiday season. My first year working they asked me to do the demos and I just practiced over and over again with YouTube and containerstore.com videos. It's really fun when you get the hang of it. But the first dozen or so look like shit.
I love wrapping! I had no idea you could get paper with a grid on the inside. Genius. (I think the UK is behind the US in wrapping-paper technology. Sad face).
I really enjoy pretty paper and its multiple uses!
Also, I purchased a roll of holiday paper in 2007, have been wrapping hundreds of holiday presents with it (extended family, friends, husband, Sofia), and it STILL hasn't finished! It's pretty enough that it doesn't bug me so much, but damn it, it's time for a new one!
My wrapping skills are sorely lacking. When I want to get fancy, I use storebought bows but usually don't even bother, especially since the majority of my presents are for kids who don't even notice.
I do appreciate receiving beautifully wrapped gifts, though.
Those are gorgeous! Nicely done! I appreciate beautifully wrapped presents and bows. They're so pretty and thoughtful. But then I go to try and do it myself, and I'm just like
and they all end up looking like this, with maybe a peel and stick bow on top:
Yup, I am right there with you. Wrapping is not my specialty.
