so not only are Sarah's ex-husband and ex-fiance resurfacing later this season, but there is some more "big" stuff to happen with Amber and Ryan

my guess is baby or serious combat injury/death

My first thought was suicide or an overdose on pills. Ryan reminds me of the people you hear about that were in jail for decades and find a way to go back after release because they can't function "outside".

He is a very powerful character. He makes *me* feel unsafe. I've felt that way about him since he was introduced.

I'd be fine if Ryan died.  Amber has no business with him and that relationship was doomed from the beginning.  She needs to move on and get with the hottie from the band.

I know the thread is pretty dead, but I just got caught up on this show. I'm bummed that he's coming back, because i have wanted him gone for a while.
I thought that the Ryan/Amber story would involve domestic violence, so my prediction is that they get back together and he becomes abusive towards her. Either that, or he comes back and stalks her. I can see suicide/OD, but I feel like that is not that unexpected at this point.
A combat injury could be interesting-- I could see Amber taking care of him.

Seeing that he re-enlisted I think Ryan gets seriously injured or dies.

They showed a preview of Amber spiraling downward (cant remember exactly what was going on, I think something with her drinking and flipping out on her dad) so I'm gonna guess he dies and then she loses it. I cant see him just enlisting and going overseas would cause her to lose it. I'm over that story line so I wouldn't mind him dying either.
