I was told to stop taking baby aspirin at 10 weeks, which was yesterday. The rational part of my brain is saying listen to my doctor and stop. The irrational/TTTC part of my brain is super nervous and wants to continue, as Dr. Google says many women stay on it until their 3rd tri.
Anybody have experience with this?? I'm going to have the same problem coming off crinone in a few weeks. :/
I stayed on it until 36 weeks. I don't know that it was necessary but it gave me peace of mind. My OB said it was fine since I do have the MTHFR mutation. I was on Lovenox (basically a blood thinner) until 14 weeks and then I stayed on the baby aspirin after that.
I didn't take it for TTC, but I've been taking it since about 15w on the advice of my MFM due to a study that showed it decreases risk for pre-eclampsia. So at least some people definitely consider it safe in 2nd tri. I guess I will have to ask if I'm supposed to keep taking it in 3rd tri or not.
I had the same problem stopping progesterone and metformin just due to the anxiety of it.... it feels like we're taking these things to get and stay pregnant so stopping them is really scary!!
Can you have a better conversation with your doctor about the pros and cons of continuing the aspirin past 10w?

I stopped around 22 weeks. My OB said you can keep taking it until around 36 weeks then you have to stop because of bleeding issues. It was like my safety blanket throughout first and second tri.
