The 3D was cool. But it made my H a little motion sick so if you're sensitive to that kind of thing you might not want to see it in 3D. I think it would lose something seeing it on your regular TV at home though.

I think it was a fantastic 3D experience because the space stuff was truly beautiful. It wasn't that superior of a storyline, but I'm absolutely glad I saw it.
I agree that it wouldn't be worth watching at home on TV. Not just because the large screen helps to convey the vastness of space, but also because the movie uses silence really well. First time I ever really understood "deafening silence."

It's on my list, but the more I hear about it, the further down the list it goes. 3D gives me migraines so if that's an important factor in enjoying it, I'll pass.
I wouldn't put it in the "best movie I have ever seen" category, as some of my FB friends did, but it was ok. I went to see it because people were raving about it and I didn't think it lived up to the hype.

No, I think 2D would be fine. The movie theater is key in my opinion.
Yes, saw it and loved it. Because I love movies with dramatic visual effects, especially sci-fi, even if the plot is weak. But I was with a really cool friend who I got to giggle with through it all and say inappropriate things like "Yeah, both her arms and legs should be broken right now".
I was oddly, highly annoyed that *SPOILER ALERT* they did a full body shot of Sandra at the end, in her underwear, without a single bruise or blemish. Plah-eaze.

I really liked it.
SPOILERS!
The thought of floating around in space just fucking terrified me. Like will they ever find George Clooney's character's body or will it just orbit forever. (I guess it will break down eventually). I really like seeing how space is this huge big cosmos but with all the shit countries and the US are leaving up there that you can find different ways to get back home. Crazy! I think it lacked in actual storyline, but the big picture literally and metaphorically was pretty cool in its simplicity.
