How was your weekend?

What did you do?

I was grumpy. My wife worked all weekend and we pretty much got snowed in on Saturday. Yesterday afternoon we all went to a movie and then out for dinner, that was nice. I'm just feeling really overwhelmed right now and have no down time. I'm ready for the holiday so I can have some time off.

We had errands to run and saw some family on Saturday. We were supposed to see Santa yesterday but LMC's epic fit ruined that plan along with the rest of the day :-( I was pretty upset so I stayed up crazy late doing some wrapping and watching friends reruns to distract myself.

I ate a lot, spent a lot of time in my wife's arms, called Alila, watched TV, stood outside in the sun, cuddled my cats, etc. I also had to finalize my bail paperwork, speak to my attorney and try not to think too much about what my future holds.

It was pretty low-key. L had a medical procedure done on Friday. After it was done, we napped and hung out till we needed to get the kids from school.

Saturday L and the kids didn't get out of their pjs all day. I did errands alone (!!) and then we decorated the tree/house which thrilled the kids to no end. L and I were craving steak, so I grilled in the rain/dark.

Sunday did errands, had lunch, did more errands, and then got ready for the week.

I'm cranky and was cranky off and on all weekend. Weekend itself wasn't too bad though. Although I hate snow. I bet the snow is what started my crankiness.

Work has been insane and it stretched into the weekend too. It's all helping on a project that is not mine, but desperately needs help. Everyone has been on edge and the snark and tempers not cool to deal with.

Friday I stayed at work until 6:30 when A picked me up so we could meet my fave boys for dinner and a Homo for the Holidays late show, which was fun as always.

Saturday I had to drag out of bed and go back to work all day. Then I met A close to the home of one of the docs I work with so we could go to my office Christmas party together.

Sunday I made myself get up at a reasonable hour to head to Costco for new tires on my car and I finally had time to get some of my shopping done. This work schedule has interfered with any free time for anything. After that I ran 3 other errands and got home to make late dinner for the two of us.

This weekend has been crazy busy. I worked Sunday til 12. Made the 5 hour drive up to Iowa from Kansas City, to have christmas with my family. Julie was already here for work. I guess it wasn't that bad, but the more time I spend here with them the more I just want to move home, and that's not in the cards right now, well not anytime soon.

I worked Friday and Saturday nights and then moved all day Sunday. Made for a busy yet exhausting weekend. I'm hoping next weekend I will get to relax a little!
