Oh gross. I haven't heard this before until now. If I see it on fb I'll barf. I hate toot so this term is wicked nasty to me.
Random but I know a girl with a very beautiful name but she goes by "Tooty". All I can guess/imagine is that she farted a lot as a baby and the nick name stuck (

Growing up we weren't allowed to say fart for some reason. My Mom called it passing gas and I was about 9 before I realized it didn't have anything to do with gas stations.

When people only refer to their kid as 'baby' as in that's what they say in place of their name. All of the time. For example, it was a full 2 years before I heard my friend actually refer to her kid by his given name. This is only because she had another kid & thus it is now known as "baby". Every picture of the kid is captioned as Baby too. She has an older son and she would put for example "Jack & Baby" on pics of them together. It was just very strange to me.

I guess this would be a good place to put this, lol:
One time, DD woke herself up with gas. She was lying on my lap when it happened, turned around half-asleep and said, "tooties sound like fireworks." Then rolled over and fell asleep again. Haha! I could not stop laughing.
