my cousin's kid will be 10 on NYE. my mom and i always go in together for a christmas gift and birthday gift, about $50-60 total.
i asked my cousin what he was in to. her response: *cousin* is into Minecraft, pokemons, Legos, Doctor Who... But he would like anything you send, he's mellow like that.
so, what would you get? all the doctor who stuff i see seems adult-oriented. i found some mine craft lego sets, but how do i know he doesn't have them? and pokemon? that seems very broad.
what would you buy? i'm looking for amazon prime-eligible things!
My 10 year old ditched the Legos and little army men about 6 months ago so I've been having a tough time. Here's some ideas:
-If he's likes art, some good art supplies. He's old enough to take care of good paint brushes, and keep the caps on good markers.
-if he likes sports, a new basketball, football, snowboard ( a beginner board isn't that much), a good sled, etc.
- if he likes minecraft, then Roblox, club penguin and Zombatar are all coming next. A prepaid Visa card would be a huge win, as those all cost and then you need money to go further in the games.
- it's around this age that they start wanting to make things "theirs". bedroom decor was actually requested in my house, we went w/ football, but you could do minecraft or Pokemon. A Fathead was request #1. Posters, a lamp, etc.
Oh yeah....and Diary of a Wimpy Kid books! I love them and both of my kids have read all of them. And Middle School the Worst Years of my Life by James Patterson are great books too. We all laughed at those as well. And wimpy kid has movies too!
