Remember Anna's teacher and her last minute requests? Last week, on Wednesday, she emailed saying that they still don't have enough parents registered to volunteer for the Christmas activity tomorrow (the 17th) and needed 4 more. I immediately replied with "I will participate". Like within 5 minutes. No answer. The next day she emails all the parents saying "thanks to the parents who registered, we now have enough parents". So I assumed I was going and told Anna. She is over the moon that I am going! The activity is tomorrow morning at 7:50. The BITCH just emailed all the parents 30 minutes ago with the lust if parents registered for tomorrow. I am not on the motherfucking list. But some little girl's TWO parents are. Wtf? I just replied saying that I registered last Wednesday and already told my kid and took the morning off work and I am coming, and that I am sure she will understand. No reply! She went to bed and left me here raging???!!!
I am totally doing that. I'd rather cut off my right arm than announce to my kid that the thing she has been looking forward to all week "mommy in my class!" Is not happening.
That bitch should know better than to mess with an emotional pregnant woman.
Just imagine her panicking and throwing out late night emails after she spent the evening tossing together lessons plans for those fickle five year olds and their "inspirations".
Then she gets your email.
BOOM.
Rookie Teacher meltdown.
She is in bed sobbing right now. YOU HAVE THE POWER, Papie!

Lol No she is older than me and has been there for at least a few years,
Chances are some parents is going to back out the morning of, so just go and either she will be thankful that you filled the spot or thankful for another person regardless.

Do you have a chance to give her feedback at anypoint in the year? if so I would tell her that she clearly needs to get her shit together because she has fucked up stuff all semester long. I would phrase it in nicer terms but her lack of communication is a serious issue .
Update: she emailed this morning saying that she must have forgotten my email and apologizing and said that of course I was welcome. I went, it was fun and Anna was ecstatic!
