This one was made in Ireland, by hand, in the Aran Isles, where she and my dad honeymooned and brought us all home these same style of sweaters handmade by the natives, about 40 years ago. The sentimentality is what made it perfect for her, not the style itself. Plus it really is beautifully made. She knows this exactly, and knows that that's why I ordered it from there.
Plus she is cold all the time, and has to have a lapel-less sweater for her oxygen tubing. so this is all a bonus. These usually are made with turtlenecks or high collars, this is the first one I've seen in a vee neck style.
