iPad Air users: smart case or smart cover?

I have the iPad case and I would definitely do it again. It protects a little more against knocked over liquids and the surprise-messy-surface that kids seem to leave at the table, Coffee table, etc.

Don't buy the one from apple that's like $80.

I bought an equivalent from amazon (smart case) for $15 or so

The case is so much better than the magnetic cover.

If the kids use it, how about an otterbox? It's bulky but it's held up pretty well with Vivi's abuse.

Do you know the brand offhand?

It's the fintie smart shell case for iPad air, $12.85, prime eligible. 

I've had it a few weeks, traveled with it last week, no problems.

Oh and get the tech armor screen protector if you don't have one yet. I use those on all my devices and like them a lot.

We just bought one of these cases. The brand is Fintie, and it was so much cheaper than the apple case. It covers the back and has the front that folds into a few positions.
