LAn Party - Must haves?

I'm helpign orgnanize a LAN for the first time. Several people will be spending the night, I've got the space and fiber (up to 8 doenload and .75mbps upload, direct connection) but what about other stuff? I know alcohol and mt.dew are a must. What about game suggestions?

Our staples are Doritos, brownies, and mountain dew. Some good movies like the LOTR trilogy on in the background. Muffins or something for people who spend the night to grab an easy breakfast when they wake up at noon

Beer, lots of easy hand food, and get tons of paper towels, napkins, or towels handy in case of spills.
We use to have people bring what ever they wanted to play, so some would be playing Wow, some diablo, halo, or what ever.
We also would play this really bad game called Topshop.

We have a bunch of people bringing TVs and boardgames, too! I hadn't thought of running any movies in the background, but I know we may be playing the Matrix now, since we've got a guy named Mr. Anderson.

Top shop is a horrible cheesy ps game my dh bought, that has enslaved everyone who has ever played it.
