1. I miss Tennant and Eccleston. Matt Smith is growing on me, but he's still rather "meh." 2. I really like Amy Pond. 3. Rory is more likeable than Mickey, but I still cheered a bit when he died. 4. The whole "crack in the wall" resolution wasn't good. It just didn't make much sense over the course of the season. 5. This is the first season that I made it through without crying.

I'm still on season 3 but I'm really looking forward to seeing Capaldi play The Doctor. It makes me laugh when I see people on Tumblr and Pinterest saying they won't watch because he's too old. If they were only watching it because they thought Matt Smith was hot then alright then. The rest of us will enjoy it without you.
I love Amy. And Rory. He seems to timid but where Amy is concerned is totally ready to kick some ass. I never got the Matt Smith hate. I have zero problem with Capaldi being the Doctor. He's supposed to change! They need some variety in the Doctor.

I love Rory Williams. I love that he's so quietly confident in who he is and his overall love for Amy. And I love that Amy is kickass and he never tries to hold her back or change her. He's totally cool being Mr. Pond.
I think I project too much. I always want the Doctor to fall in love with his female companion and for them to travel the world together forever. If Amy is married to Rory, that can't happen!
Also, I love River Song, but she will always be Dr. Elizabeth Corday to me. I find myself saying "You're a doctor, River! FIX THEM!" when someone gets hurt... I miss ER.

I read spoilers about the river song story line and thought it sounded incredibly stupid, then I watched it and loved it. I think matt is good, he plays the doctor well, but I liked peter right away and am excited to see his and Clara's chemistry.
