Hello everyone! I normally posted on MM and MMM, but we are under contract on a house, so here I am hopefully going to be posting here more.
We had our inspection today. The inspection came back that there was a higher level of moisture in the basement than expected. The inspector found a wet crack in the store under the stairs (concrete walls). There is no other evidence of moisture damage and the basement does not sell mildewy. There is no pooled water. There is a drain in the laundry room.
The house is at the top of a hill, so most of the water should hopefully run down and away from the house. The basement well windows are missing the clear plastic covers, so we can add those.
I was thinking we should get a wet basement specialist to check it out, any other suggestions? Words of wisdom
ETA: The inspector did not think it was that big of a deal. It is only listed a as a repair, not a major concern. He said it didn't appear to be a foundation issue.
