We have an older boston terrier- we think he is between 9-??, it is hard to say. We have had him for 5.5 years.
We have noticed he is peeing a lot more than normal. He is holding it throughout the day and night but when we are home he usually goes out every hour and pees every time. He is not drinking anymore IMO. What tests can the vet run or what do you think they will suggest? I'm not sure if we should take him to get examined (just had a physical last month) or is it probably a sign of old age...

Could be old age, but it also could be a medical condition. Does he have an increase appitite? any weight loss? I would have him checked to see if he may be diabetic. It also could be a bladder/kidney infection. My rule of thumb is if my dogs have behavior that is out of the normal enough to make me question it, we go in for a professional opinion. That has worked well for us. For my dogs, it always ends up being something that requires vet care.
