I got a surprise bfp christmas night. Went for my first beta at 4 weeks 1 day according to my LMP and it came back as 207. Anyone have a similar # and successful pregnancy? I have a history of chemicals but am trying to stay positive. What I am seeing online, it seems on the low side. I wont get the results from my 2nd one on Monday. Thanks for any thoughts!
When do you estimate you ovulated? If you ovulated at day 14 or later and you're therefore 15dpo or less then that's a perfectly normal beta. A beta in the 1000's at that date would be incredibly wacky. A few days more or less past ovulation makes a huge difference. At 14dpo anything over 5 is considered positive and anything over 100 is considered good. At 14dpo I had a beta of 215 and I am pregnant with twins. (Twins can have higher betas, but don't necessarily.) The doubling (within 48-72 hours, though better if closer to 48) matters much much more than any one number.
Congratulations!! I went through 2 chemical pregnancies before my current one (plus a long infertility saga) so I know how scary it can be.

At 21 DPO (approx 5 weeks along), my initial beta was 112, which I thought was verrrry low. I'm now 14 weeks, and everything looks good so far -measuring right on track! Congrats, and don't let Google scare you too much.
One beta number doesn't tell you anything because there is such a wide range. Are you doing a second draw to see if it doubled?
yes, i went saturday but won't get my results til monday, when my doctors office is open. I am just a bag of nerves. We've been trying for baby 2 (i have a 7 year old) for 5 years, I've had surgery, done 6 rounds of IUIs and had 4 chemicals. This is the highest beta I've gotten actually so far since having issues. I keep taking the dollar store tests to see if the line is getting darker (it looks the same to me, ugh)...the wait is driving me crazy, lol

OK good to know, thank you so much!! I would have had to have been about 16-20 dpo at my first beta draw I am thinking b.c it was day 30 of my cycle and we had sex on days 10 and 12 only. Best of luck to you!!!

Even my doctor thought mine was low, but said she's been doing this long enough to know that nothing is for sure, lol. Good luck to you!

Good point, and I know anything can happen. Trying to stay positive. Good luck to you too!!
Congrats on the BFP. I hope your betas continue to rise.
I am a little lot ^o) ^o) ^o) at your thread over on TTTC and how you treated those ladies though. I hope you realize how hurtful you were over there. Although, judging by all of your responses you're rather rude and don't care much about the feelings of others.
Did you try any of the websites the other board you posted this on referred you to?
Yes thank you, very helpful! Also there used to be a website peeonastick but can't find it. It had all photos of postive pg tests by dpo...does anyone know what happened to it? I think it was peeonastick at least. IT's been a while since i've been in this crazy testing phase.
willrun4wine It's called having compassion and empathy. You can still have those for internet strangers. Get some.
That is where I am. Doing a drive by bfp on a TTTC board is the epitome of rude and you seem to have zero insight or apology about it. Those ladies did not deserve your flippant responses.
You know how, when one person tells you something, you can just brush it off? When lots of people start telling you something about yourself, it just may be time to consider that the problem isn't with everybody else, but with you.

okie dokie...now it's getting weird again up in here lol!
It's not a ttc board it's a trouble ttc board (TTTC) which is why your post wasn't taken to kindly. There is also a getting pregnant board over here which = ttc
Also, if you've truly been around the nest for years as you claim, you would have known how a drive by BFP would have gone over. I mean, I've never been active on the TTTC boards and even I know they're in really really poor taste over there.
And how you responded to the girls over there getting angry with you with a response of LOLOLOL MY HUSBAND AND I ARE DYING LAUGHING AT YOU INFERTILES was just gross. I'm so glad you get off on causing pain to others.

Yeah, um, I read the thread over there, and bad form, OP. I can see misreading the board name and missing a T, but better to just own your screwup, apologize, and move on. While this might be "just a message board" to you, a lot of people here have been through a lot together. Yes, it's public, blah, blah, but just because something is public is no reason to dismiss the feelings and lives of other people.
Anyway, I still wish you good luck and hope your pregnancy is successful.
