So I was hoping to be able to do my long run this morning after getting antibiotics on Sat but I still have some chest congestion that says no way. I was scheduled for 16 this weekend-I missed half of my Wed run (7) and didn't run Thursday.
This week I am scheduled to pretty much run the same schedule as last week with a mile increase on my Wednesday run and 17 on on my long run would you:
A. try to get as much of the long run in today as my body will let me B. rest today and just repeat last weeks schedule this week?
Thanks ladies for putting my fears at bay that I have completely derailed my whole training plan! Taking it easy today and hoping to be able to do an easy 4 tomorrow.
REST, REST, REST!! I had a nagging cold with fever and the works for over 7 weeks because I couldn't let myself just rest. I was at the same place in my training plan as you are right now. Rest is essential.
