Looks like I'll meet my deductible early in 2014

I broke my finger sledding on Christmas Eve. I have a simple fracture of the middle phalange and a compound fracture of the proximal phalange. I have to have a couple of screws placed to fix the compound fracture.

This isn't helping all the extra dessert I ate over Christmas.

Six weeks to heal, ten weeks to full recovery. I'm assuming I will be able to run before then and trainer rides will be fine.

Thank goodness, yes. It's my left and I'm right handed.

The pain isn't too bad at this point. I'm sure it will be more sore after the procedure. But for now I can do just about everything I need to with it buddy taped.
