for after a c-section (the ugly big, bulky medical kind) is brilliant. I wore the one they gave me at the hospital around the clock days 3-7. I'm part-time now for when I want to get up and get around and also use the slightly less bulky Dale one on occasion.
It has done so much to mitigate pain and allow more movement. Thank you!

I purchased a belly binder to wear after pregnancy to help with my belly going back to normal! It came in the mail the other day. Amazon has some good deals!

Omg, yes! Such a difference! I'm still wearing the Dale binder the hospital gave me since it goes over the top of my hips too. I plan to switch to the Squeem soon, so it's not as visible under my clothes.
It's one of those secrets I wish someone had told me about after my first csection. Sharing is caring ladies, tell your friends.
This is the one I bought and Amazon and brought with me to the hospital (based on Bump.com recommendations of course...fail). I could never get it tight enough. Don't buy it.

I got an underworks one, but ordered it in a smaller size then what the sizing chart says because of reviews I have read online saying it runs big. It came recommended from a few people, so I am hoping it works well. Mine came in the other day, and I already threw it in my hospital bag!

Doesn't Ash have the squeem too? I think I remember her saying she liked it. I've heard good things about the belly bandit too....so many choices!
Yes, I really want to move to the Squeem next. I've just been trigger shy to invest in one. I wanted to be as close to "normal" size before getting one, so I wouldn't need to buy a second. I'll probably order this week.
I have this. It didn't fit until about 10 days out. Now it's great. If you are getting one for pain relief rather than tummy shrinking I'd also get a larger size to wear right away. (your 8 month belly circumference should fall into the size range). 48 hours after surgery you only want enough compression to make sitting up and coughing bearable. Right after surgery you are still around your 6-7 month size. Too much pressure on the incision site would be unpleasant.

My Dr and hospital didn't offer it, but when I asked my on about it she was happy to put in an order for it. The nurse brought it in maybe an hour later.

i do! i love it. i laughed really hard when i first pulled it out, because it does not at ALL seem like it will fit, but it stretches. it helps my back feel SO supported, and it makes me look great under clothes. no complaints whatsoever. my stomach is still smooshy and flabby with not a muscle in sight (lol) but i LOOK like i did pre-preg. (in my stomach...we won't discuss my legs.)
What size did you get? I feel like I have no clue which size to order. I'm short a little over 5 ft, and was 120lbs before, but I have gained almost 40lbs already and still have 2 months
Uh oh I totally missed this... I am 3 weeks post C-section now. What does this thing do? Help with post-surgical mobility, make you look not so flabby/lumpy, or help you get in shape? Will I find any benefit if I get one now?
Fwiw, my hospital obviously gave me nothing. They were shocked that I had done my hair and gotten dressed into my maternity clothes instead of slumming it in their gown 24 hrs after the procedure.

They put one on me immediately after my c-section. IMO it really helps get your tummy flat faster and also provides really good back support.

I'm two weeks out. At this point, it makes walking and sitting more comfortable. It's protection for your incision site from little kicking legs when you are nursing. The smaller size one does help flatten my tummy and clothes fit a little more smoothly but in becomes uncomfortable after a while. The larger one makes me look bigger and lumpier than going without, but provides nice protection.
I found it most helpful in those first days when getting up to pee was almost unbearable.
