i'm ready for people to stop flat ironing their hair.
not that this is what you asked about. anyway.
i was thinking about that just below the ear wedge-ish haircut that my mom's cohort sports like its going out of style. i realized it was the counter-counterculture haircut that you had in the 70s if you were so over the navel-gazing hippies. so they all think that it's current and fresh, STILL.

I am feeling really old and decrepit lately.
Like I'm seeing/feeling my future.
I'm sore everywhere. It's hard to move. Going to the bathroom is hard. My 'roids are acting up from sitting down all the time. I'm wearing a sneaker every day because it's supportive. I need a haircut and dye, badly. My body hair management is slipping. I smell. I'm unfashionable.
I've thought about how young guys (and women too) are going to look when they're middle-aged and older with their "ink"?? When I was a kid, only old hairy forearmed Navy veterans had tattoos. Now it's de rigueur for young men to have "sleeves". I guarantee their kids are going to be skeeved out about their old man's tattoos.
