Where do you run with the bob? On the sidewalk or street? I may take the little one out in it today. I'm extremely nervous about it though! Not for him, he's got good head control and will be all snug in there but I'm worried about traffic, etc. I will stick to non busy roads but still...
It depends on the traffic situation. When I lived in MoCo, I almost always stuck to paved trails (also the C&O, but not until she was older. It is a bumpy ride It did add a little extra time to drive to the trail, but it was worth it IMO. Where we live now we have no traffic and wide streets, so I rarely use sidewalks.
I'm lucky to have tons of paved trails, so that's where I usually am. I would stay as on as smooth of a surface as you can. If you're on sidewalks, you'll just have to be extra attentive to curbs - they'll really shake around if you run down and up them.
Residential streets for me. Most of the sidewalks around here are nice, but they sometimes end without notice dumping you in someone's lawn, or are super bumpy.
Residential streets. I hate going up and down curbs and driveways, and cars are sparse. They see and avoid me :-) I also love the botanic garden bc it's paved with no traffic, but that is pretty specific to my area.
Mostly the multi-use paved trail near our house. It's a regional trail that I run on normally. Nice and flat and not a lot of turns. Also residential streets. We are really lucky to live so close to it.
We live in a subdivision that is sort of in the country-ish, so I stick to the residential streets (1 mile = 1 loop of the subdivision). I would stick to sidewalks, but it's a newer subdivision and some areas of sidewalk are not yet completed, so it's just easier to stick to the road. Plus, I can't run in a straight line anyway
