How soon after your LO was born were you able to return to training? This is the first year that I don't have any races mapped out on my calendar and it is driving me nuts!

It's really different for everyone. Even from one pregnancy to the next.
After DD was born, I started doing light cardio at 6 weeks pp and running at 8 weeks. My first race was a 10k at 7 months pp, and then a 1/2 at 8 months.
I started doing light cardio at 4 weeks pp and running at 5 weeks this time. I did my first "real" race today, a 5k at 7 weeks pp.
Both deliveries were c-sections. Recovery from my first was fairly smooth, but having scheduled surgery this time without laboring has made this recovery even easier. I also ran and exercised a lot more during pregnancy this time, so there's less rebuilding to do (there's still plenty though).
Granted I am new to this and a first time mom but I started running 6 weeks after my son was born via c section. I was walking up to 2-3 miles a couple times a week at about 4 weeks post partum. He is 12 weeks now and last weekend I ran 11 miles which is the longest I've gone. I was running throughout my pregnancy (I ran 4 miles the morning he was born) and have found that getting back the mileage hasn't been too difficult. The pace however, totally different story. I thought that once the majority of the weight was off, I'd be flying. Yeah not happening. I'm happy to be running though!
I waited until the post partum bleeding stopped, which differed for all 3 pregnancies. With the first two it was b/w 5-6w, and with my 3rd it was 3w. I had my first two kids in the mid-late Summer, and was not racing until the following Spring. I wasn't ready in the Fall, and there aren't many winter races around here anyway. With DD2, I had her in January and did some Spring races.
I started slowly at exactly 6 weeks post partum. I walked a lot before then.
It took me until the kids were almost a year and a 1/2 to get back to my old speed and endurance lavers, but there were a lot of factors that caused that like the fact I was on bedrest and stopped running at 18 weeks. Plus working full time with two I was just happy to survive the first year.
I have 2 kiddos so with the first, I did light cardio at 3 weeks pp and running at 6 weeks. With DS I was run/walking 2.5 weeks later. Both were natural deliveries but tore worse with DD.
I was walking at a pretty brisk pace at 1w PP after my c/s. Ran 3 miles at 3w (to the day) when the bleeding stopped-wasn't technically cleared until 4w, but my doctor had told me that I could go back to working out whenever I felt up to it. I did run until the end of my pregnancy-my last run was the day before I went into labor.
I started training again 6 weeks post C-section. I was walking maybe 1-2 weeks postpartum? My baby hated the stroller at first, so that somewhat limited my activity prior to 6 weeks.
I had a pretty easy recovery. I was back to running 3 weeks post-partum, did a 5K at 5 weeks, did a half marathon at 5 months, and a full marathon at 7 months.
