This thread over on SO is great, so I thought I would start one here. Post your favorite pictures (of you, or taken by you) from 2013! It's awesome to see everyone looking so happy and fabulous!
This sounds sad and weird, but it's oddly sweet. My best friends and I (on the left) took this one as an homage to our friend who died. We were at her memorial/service. This was her pose in most of the pictures we found of her when working on the picture boards for it. Every time I look at it, I think of Ashley and I smile.
These are a few of the pics I was able to grab off of my phone. They're not all of my faves, but they capture some of the key highlights of my 2013.
Shake out run along the Pacific, the day before the Surf City Marathon. Such a fun trip!
Surf City Marathon- Huntington Beach, CA
DH & I after Chicago
London
Paris
ETA: Sorry, two more! We were in CA and we were trying to decide on our next marathon trip. The beach house we were renting was on Chicago Ave. We decided at that moment that it would be Chicago.
I love this pic of DH. It captures our last night in Paris so perfectly. We did nothing but bounce from cafe to cafe, ordering cheese plates and wine. We were so hungover the next day. lol
gt7301b your Iceland picture is amazing! What is it of? (ice field, glacier, etc)
Thanks It is a picture of Jokulsarlon, a glacial lake. We had to get there super early so we could make our glacier hike in the afternoon, so we were the only people there!!
Jökulsárlón (About this sound Icelandic pronunciation (help·info); literally "glacial river lagoon") is a large glacial lake in southeast Iceland, on the borders of Vatnajökull National Park. Situated at the head of Breiðamerkurjökull, it developed into a lake after the glacier started receding from the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. The lake has grown since then at varying rates because of melting of the Icelandic glaciers. The lake now stands 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) away from the ocean's edge and covers an area of about 18 km2 (6.9 sq mi). It recently became the deepest lake in Iceland at over 248 metres (814 ft) depth as glacial retreat extended its boundaries.[1] The size of the lake has increased fourfold since the 1970s.[2][3][4][5] It is considered as one of the natural wonders of Iceland.

I am LOVING these pictures of/by all of you! We have such a stellar group!
This is not HF obviously, but my favorite family photo of the year.
taratru took this pic! I had just crossed the finish line in Boulder, got my medal, timing chip strap still on my ankle, and this was the moment I spotted my husband. This was such a big deal for us as a couple, and he did so much work to get me through that day, so it was a really special moment to me.
Crossing the finish line of my first full in Feb. Sweet relief. Taratru was there, too (& she smoked it, of course!)!

It's hard to choose just 3!
The first is my mom and I after my first half marathon. It was a highlight of the year.
The next is my husband and I at the UW Madison football stadium - Camp Randall - with a few of our favorite players. My husband has cancer, and we were both having a hard week. This really was another highlight. And was just what we needed to cheer us up.
The third is our annual picture with Santa.
There are so many other favorites. My first 8k. My first 10k. My brothers wedding. Running in the snow with my mom.
My husband and I on our five year anniversary trip to Hawaii and of course some of my son! None really H&F although the anniversary pic is after kayaking and I'm 14 weeks pregnant!
taratru I love all of those!! How stinking cute are your girls?! I love that our IMS pics are so similar, and I especially love Js nfl influence. Go Broncos!!!!!!
