Hi! I'm new to this board, but am more regular on the other boards. So we just signed up for the Warrior Dash. Does anyone have any tips or advice? Our group is currently about 15 people. I hit the gym about 4 days a week, ran 3 miles yesterday. Thanks!

You should in good shape to complete the race. The obstacles are more fun than difficult. My only suggestion is to wear capris or other tight bottoms. If not you'll have mud in places you wish you didn't and I ended up pretty scraped up on my legs.

I just did a similar obstacle race, and ditto the capris suggestion. I would also wear a reasonably tight shirt (I didn't do compression, you can if you have it) because once you get wet anything baggy will drag you down.
If you can, try to do a few runs on trails. I was a little challenged by the uneven surface at first (to say nothing of the massive hill-mountain we then had to run up/down).
I agree with the other posters. I've done a few obstacle races and I couldn't imagine doing it in anything other than fitted top and leggings, full length. Depends on the course but your legs can get pretty scratched. Nothing that you won't laugh off or recover from, but long tights are helpful. How long is the course and is it in uneven ground? I'd practice running on trails, don't avoid the puddles.
My experience was extreme because the course became flooded, so no amount of tight/compression gear or capris would have kept mud out of places the sun don't shine! But I agree that the obstacles are more fun than hard.
Thanks! It's a 5k in the middle of the summer and it's going to be muddy, our start time is early enough it won't be too hot or cold. I definitely like the idea of tighter clothes.
Thanks for the tip about trail runs. I will definitely get on those as we get closer. I just started running about a week ago, my first mile is about 10:30, and did 3 miles in about 36 min.

Oh, I forgot to add that I wore soccer socks with my capris because I don't have workout leggings. So my suggestion is really to cover your legs, not necessarily to wear capris
Wear shoes you will want to donate/throw away after the run. I'd also recommend running on trails if you can. When I did an obstacle run (not specifically warrior dash), there were all types from the super fit super fast, to the casual joggers.
You don't need to throw your shoes away if you don't want, but wash them the same day. Remove the laces, soak in a bucket of hot water. When you dry them, scrunch up newspaper and shove it inside the shoe, helps to draw out moisture.
