I would like to lose 30 more. So it's a pretty decent amount. I would say that I've done it 80% through diet. I wasn't able to go to the gym at all until around February. Now that I can go, I still can't do any cardio, or squats, lunges or weights that are strenuous on my knees or ankles. But between diet and full body strength training (what I do feel comfortable with) it's gone pretty well!

I have lost about 60pounds total. I have been doing weight watchers. Since I've been on weight watchers I have lost about 50 pounds. I have a whole lot more to lose. I'm not sure how much, I haven't decided on a final goal weight. Right now I just kind of focus on 5 pounds at a time or so. Good luck! I'm sure you will do great!
I'm erj272 on mfp, I have about 50 lbs to go. I have an extremely craptastic thyroid and an old back injury that flares up whenever it wants, so when I should be losing 2 pounds a week, I'm really only losing .5 pound a week and it gets really fucking frustrating.
Main motivation right now: If I hit 135 by December my mom is going to buy me new clothes
I just started on MFP yesterday. I had been using MyPlate before that. I entered my exercise and 4 people were like "woo! way to go!" and I was like "this kicks ass"
Is 30 pounds considerable? It was 50, but 10 was water weight that came off pretty fast after childbirth, and I managed to lose another 10 over the past 9 weeks. I feel like I still look the same, though, except I did lose the double chin. People keep thinking I am pregnant again so...yeah.
I am ReannaLynne on MFP. I slipped the past few days but am getting back on track today! I have about 50# to lose, but I am hoping to tone at the same time so I just want to be a size 5/6 again!

We are like little cheerleaders. Minus the size 0 jeans and the perfect tan.
I got my workout in today even though I'm sore from yesterday (first day back in two weeks), I have a healthy dinner in the oven, and I'm wearing a shirt that hasn't fit in 5 years.
I'm not sure if MFP has a way to adjust that. But for me personally, that's not a good idea. If I splurge one day, then I splurge. I have a history of getting into a cycle of deprivation (using my willpower to not eat a lot) and then after a period of time, binging because "I've earned it".
I'm not saying that was your plan at all. Just that I splurge when I want to and eat normal the rest of the time.
I need to lose 70-80 pounds as well. H has diabetes and his numbers have been creeping back up (though his weight is pretty good, though he'd like to lose about 10 pounds) so we really need to start eating better. It would be awesome if we could somehow finagle our schedules so that we could each get in some time for exercise at least 3 times a week. Before getting pregnant I was exercising 5-6 times a week and I felt so good, even though I wasn't losing weight quickly. I'd love to join the MFP group - I just signed up and my username is jen788.
A friend of mine said that I should get checked out for PCOS, but I haven't made an appointment because it doesn't seem like there's much they can do for it. From the limited research that I've done on it it seems like this is something that is managed more then treated. She thought I might have it because of my issues losing weight, with acne (and my dermatologist did some blood work and said that my testosterone levels were a little elevated), my high blood pressure, and my issues with my milk supply when I was trying to breastfeed. Is this something that I need to speak with a doctor about soon or can it wait until my next yearly exam?
Cayl. I have PCOS. When I was first diagnosed 10 years ago, we managed it with a combination of medications. They sort of kick started my body back into action, and for the last 9 years I've been managing it with diet and exercise. I took a combo of birth control, spironolactone and metformin.

Hmm. Maybe I'll call my doctor. Would you suggest my OB or primary care doctor? I'm kind of nervous to go to the doctor because if they say I do have it I feel like that would be an easy excuse for me, if that makes any sense.
It has taken me almost 3 years, but I have lost 155 pounds to date. I am less than 4 pounds away from my official goal weight. It's definitely possible- just take it a little bit at a time so it doesn't seem like such a big mountain to climb!
