Honestly, I've been skipping both my pre and post WorkOut meals, but I know it cannot continue.
Eating eggs on a daily basis for breakfast (so far) is more than enough for me so I will not be eating a pre WO meal of eggs. What do you ladies eat? Would it be awful to just skip this part?
I *really* wish protein powder was allowed on Whole 30! Until this week, I did not realize how much I rely on it for my post WO "meal". DH basically said screw it and this is the only non Whole30 compliant thing he is adding to his diet. I read on Mark's Daily Apple that he lives by the 80/20 approach and protein powder has far more benefits than negatives, but I know it's not in the rules of Whole 30.
Other than sweet potatoes, what do you ladies eat for your post WO meal? All ideas are welcome!
Oh, and I thought this was funny, so I will share... My first night of the challenge I had a dream that I cheated and ate pita chips with hummus and my MIL of all people called me out. LOL I find it hilariously odd that my subconscious is thinking about this during my sleep! Have any of you had weird dreams like this or am I a special snowflake on this one? I guess it's better than my former nightmares about missing the start of half marathons!
I usually cook up a pound of ground meat with some seasonings and use a small portion of that for the protein. Then I either eat a banana or half a baked sweet potato for carbs.
I do protein powder post WO, so I am not much help. I also eat a mostly vegan diet, but have started incorporating egg whites and fish once a week b/c I need more protein while training for my marathon. Vegan pp is a must for me. To each his own. Some people swear by pp while others think it's too processed and awful for you.
If you eat breakfast before, then I think it's fine. I only eat pre WO (banana) if I haven't eaten breakfast.

The dreams get worse as you go! I had several very panicked dreams where I ate something and then realized it was not approved and got really mad at myself for "ruining" my Whole30...then I realized it was only a dream!
My Post-WO is usually a chicken tender or two with some version of sweet potatoes (either leftover or like hash brown/crisp/etc). If I get tired of sweet potatoes, I will do plantains (fried in coconut oil and shake some cinnamon - yum!).
