Thanks for posting- I signed up for the beginner level. I recently completed c25K, so it will be nice to have a weekly goal now while I wait for my next race in March to come around. I can use all the motivation I can get to get out there in the single digit cold mornings!!

With marathon training, you should be well up over 30 in no time. I'd go with the higher mileage.
I might start a new thread about marathon training plans, I'm curious to know what other people run and how they structure it. I need to work out whether I am doing enough.
Anyone have a good app to track daily miles on a calendar? I took a running hiatus the past few months due to TTC and now I feel like a whale. I'm not training for anything but a baby, so, would like to shoot for 20mi a week just for fun, on top of strength training. I've always just followed a printed out training plan and never logged anything via phone.

How the #WinterMiles Challenge works: • Set your weekly mileage goal. This is YOUR goal - don't compare yourself to others. Print this weekly tracker to plan your week of workouts. • Keep track of your miles from Monday-Sunday. • The weekly reporting of miles will begin every Sunday at 12:00am. This will remain open for 24 hours until midnight on Monday CST. Report back your miles HERE to be entered into that week's prize drawing. • On Tuesday morning, I will announce the weekly prize winner. • Repeat for 8 weeks!

Frequently Asked Questions Can I change my mileage goal? Yes, your goal can change from week to week. This challenge isn't about strict rules; it's about staying true to your plan - pushing past the excuses. So if one week your goal is 10 miles and the next 20 miles, that's perfectly fine. No need to change anything in the challenge. Just hold yourself to your weekly goal and report back accurately at the end of the week. Only YOU know if you cheated yourself. I expect to have them at my door mid-January (pending any unforeseen manufacturer delays). As soon as I do, you'll see a photo go up on my Facebook page.
