A nearly-four-year-old blog post about Jenny McCarthy's son NOT having autism is making the rounds in my Facebook feed. And everyone is talking about it like it's new.
Did something happen that caused this to be brought up again?
It was just posted on one of the boards too! I hadn't seen it before so it was news to me. I dislike her so much and I HATE that she's on the View now.
I'm not sure - I've seen it too. She was on ABC's NYE coverage and the topic of her anti-vax stance came up and I was like, "I'm pretty sure it came out that her son didn't have autism," but couldn't remember the specifics.
I had a kid that fit the same profile essentially...he had had a series of epileptic attacks as a baby, brought on by febrile seizures...but he essentially presented as autistic so he was identified as such. Mom still thought it was vaccines that brought on the seizures/epilepsy. I am sure she was a Jenny fan. Sigh.
The posts I'm seeing refer to an interview she did with Time, but it is from 2010. I totally didn't check the dates and shared it, but for years later it's still a good reminder that she's really just Dr. Google with boobs.

Currently have one claiming it is all fake. Doesn't like that JM's own CNN editorial says that doctors say he was misdx and never had autisum. My BFF's cousin is heavy into the koolaid.
per my bible, I mean us weekly: her son does have autism and the time article is incorrect.
Wow. Major backpedal.
I read the Time article when it came out- she was quoted as saying he didn't have autism. You can google the piece, but it'll cost you to read the entire article which included a video clip of the conversation.
In other interviews around that time, she referred to the Time piece when stating that she wanted to remain an advocate and voice for ASD and Generation Rescue even though her son's issues were different.
I wonder if the child actually does have both conditions. I mean, having LKS doesn't R/O ASD. Especially since you don't see much of Evan these days just as you stopped seeing Jett Travolta as he got older and less "cute".
