Still deciding if I will go outside or go to the gym. In northwest Ohio we have warmer temps right now and then it's supposed to drop drastically. We are at 21 degrees right now with wind chill if 9. The high on Monday is -9!

It is a GORGEOUS morning here in Seattle. 37 degrees and barely a cloud in the sky at 8:00am. Unfortunately DH took DD up skiing today and I'm home with DS so I don't think I'll be getting any real exercise in. Probably just walking with him to the park (he's almost 5 and doesn't like to go in the jogging stroller anymore).
Supposed to be the same weather tomorrow though so I'm hoping for a nice run!

My plan had me running long runs on Saturdays since that's the day of my race is on, but i moved it to tomorrow. It's only 8 right now and the roads are still pretty icy and snowy. It's supposed to in the 20s tomorrow. Much better.

I think I'm going to have to deal with the treadmill, I want to run outside but today it is freezing out, still sub 0 wind chills and snowy. Tomorrow its supposed to warm up but I don't know if I'll have time to fit in a run.
I moved today's to yesterday because I thought I was going out of town. Then this snow happened, delayed DD1's flight, made the roads too damn shitty for her to drive on, so now I'm picking her up and DH took the other two out of town without me. And DD1 will want to hang out with her friends today/tonight, so I'm all alone. I'm equal parts pleased and sad about that. I think I'll go to the gym later for some compelling elliptical work.
me! i have an 8 mile run on the schedule but I needed to clean and eat lunch first. i'm heading out soon and using my yak trax for the first time:) Plus DH is hunting so i'm enjoying having the house to myself:)

I'm running outside today for this exact reason:) I'm in central Ohio and I'm bummed that we are getting another storm tomorrow.
I am a wimp and ran on the treadmill. 10 degrees and snow/ice here. I saw on Tuesday we have a high of 12 degrees and feeling like -11 overnight. I'm ready for spring
I've delayed my workout too. It's still too icy and slushy to run outside, so I'll wait til tonight when the gym is a little more empty and hop on the arc trainer.
Wow, you ladies live in super cold places. It's 5C/41F here, with no snow this winter. I made the most of it and did 15.3 miles this morning. My heart goes out to all of you running in snow.

I worked out at the gym and still dragged my butt getting there this morning. Plus my furnace's flame blew out sometime overnight and it was just too cold to even get out of bed.
I also hit the treadmill. I have 14 on tap for tomorrow, but it's so icy and freezing rain is expected. Ugh. At least I'm still in the early on stages of the training cycle where I'm all "Yay! Running!"
Mine got cancelled 6 miles into the ride when a friend crashed. I took her to the ER and stayed with her for a bit. Someone else is picking her up. No workout for me today.

I was good! Headed downtown at 8:30 for a 5-mile race, which ended up cancelled due to Thursday's snow -- the roads we were supposed to run on never got plowed or salted. BUT I was already suited and laced up so I did intervals as I would have without the race on the calendar.
6.65 miles in 20 degrees and icy sidewalks. So glad I picked up the Athleta fleece tights on cyber Monday and to finally break them in.
