Because I think I'm about to buy one. I need a new trash can for our kitchen because frankly, the 5 year old $35 plastic one we have is looking rough (despite washing), and the right side of the pedal no longer works, so you have to step on the left side to get the lid to open. And I want something shiny in my kitchen.

This is a completely ridiculous purchase. I know that. Don't shun me forever, ok?

I like ours and it is still in great shape after 3 years. If you have a BBB, I think you can use those 20% coupons towards the purchase, but I am not positive.

I was at my friend's house the other day and she had one in her kitchen - it was nice enough but I'm not sure it was worth the price. I had never noticed them before posting on these boards.

I love ours, but recently the top keeps popping off when you step to open it. We have to keep reattaching the top.

Anyone else have this issue?

We have one and I love it. Husband asked for a new trashcan for christmas b/c he hated our Target one. My mom assumed I actually wanted it and got us a SH. Husband made fun of me for suggesting we needed an expensive trashcan, but he loves our SH and will never own a different brand now.

I have on in my kitchen and it's nice. My mom bought it for me though. I could never spend that much on a trash can myself.

I have one too. I did laugh when my H brought it home and then had to explain why.

I used to think they were BS until I encountered one in a public restroom. If your family is messy, it might be worth the price tag for you since they are allegedly so much cleaner. I mean, time is money, and the time I spend wiping off my regular trash can probably adds up to the price of my crazy La Croix addiction. Well, that's what I tell myself.

I have one, It's held up really well, it's easy to clean, and I like it a lot.
I do think it's a ridiculous amount to spend on a trash can, but I only have one, in the kitchen, so it's not a huge deal.
