When I got to school today, I had a parent ask me why I was keeping secrets from her- she works in my classroom regularly. I had no idea what she was talking about, and she said that Mrs. M (the other third grade teacher) had put in her newsletter that she emailed to the parents, that I was pregnant! WTF!!
On Friday, she had made a joke one that emailed it to me to proof read, but she copied the correct version and we sent that home as a paper copy.
She also emailed hers out, only she emailed the wrong copy!
Turns out, this is something that the students and parents in the other class all thought.
so basically it wasn't because everyone thought you looked fat. it was because it was in the newsletter.
I'd say this is good news. exceedingly odd, but good news none the less.
NO! This was all being discussed on Friday BEFORE the newsletter went home. The newsletter problem was a mistake on my partner teacher's end - in that she made one as a joke, but then sent the "joke" out. It makes her look stupid, and a little unprofessional.
She feels really bad, but I am not really upset about it. I'm more disappointed that she wasn't careful enough - she makes a lot of similar mistakes quite often. She's very quick to react, without always thinking things through. I was mostly irritated that this group of parents was all thinking tha I was pregnant. Clearly, I must do more ab work!
