I had my 14 week appointment yesterday and since I had some spotting last week that landed me on bedrest, they did an ultrasound. Turns out, right now I have complete placenta previa. They have every faith that it will resolve before I'm due but in the meantime, no exercise and no sex until my next ultrasound at 21 weeks when we'll check it again.
I know it's not a big deal long term and it could be so much worse, but Little Fellow is the first baby I've ever worked out with while pregnant and I was so enjoying this special time. Plus, let's be honest if I can't run from 14 to 21 weeks, the chances of me starting again at 21 weeks aren't that great.
On the plus side, goodness gracious he's a cute little guy already and we could count fingers the ultrasound was so clear!
Ugh, that sucks. I had complete previa at 13 weeks (I somehow managed to skip the restrictions/pelvic rest though), but at my 20 week ultrasound it had completely resolved. Fingers crossed that yours does the same! I think shelbyann had a similar deal.
Happened to me too! It resolved itself. I had to stop running (and other things) around 18 weeks because of it. I was also on full bedrest at the end, and as hard as it is to come back, you will do it.
Walking at an incline got my heart rate up so I felt like I was doing something and I think it helped me in the long run cardio wise. Take care of that LO!

breezy8407 I know, I know, ask my doctor. But they told me not to even ride my bike on the trainer. Do you think treadmill walking would be out too?
I didn't, because I was too effing lazy. I don't recommend that course of action. I was only 11 weeks when they found mine, though, so I had taken more than 2 months off of anything at that point and just said screw it.

I swam and did prenatal yoga...sometimes. Mostly I just ate and rubbed my tummy! I was not the picture of fitness at that time in my life. But, I was able to comfortably resume those things, even though I wasn't doing either of them vigorously to begin with.
I want to add (can't edit on my phone) - I really hope to maintain activity level much better during my next pregnancy, so if I was told not to, I would be really frustrated. I didn't mean to sounds so flippant in my last post.

My doctors were surprisingly pro exercise despite being high risk, so I was lucky there were supportive. I was also seeing an MFM and maybe my high level of testing and ultrasounds made them more reassured I could still walk?
And I am no doctor, but sometimes I wonder if they know what activity all entails. Maybe they consider biking more "high impact" because of the intensity, where as to me, that would be a better option than walking. If that makes sense...not that I distrust doctors.
I had complete previa with my son too. Mine also resolved but not until like week 35+ so I'm no help on getting back to being active. Either way (active or not), you will bounce back afterwards! I won't lie, I was terrified the whole time so I didn't try to do much extra. Take it easy.
Yep, I had a previa too but a little earlier...they found it at like 8-9 weeks when I went in for an U/S because I was bleeding. The placenta wasn't even fully formed yet but it was forming over my cervix. I was advised to definitely stop running and other high-impact stuff (and no sex), but swimming and other low impact activities were OK as long as I didn't have any more bleeding. Mine resolved itself fairly quickly I guess because by the time I went for my NT scan at 13 weeks it had moved up and I was cleared to resume whatever exercise I felt up for. I did start running again and have been running since with no issue.
Fingers crossed that yours moves ASAP. They do in the vast majority of cases, so there's no need to seriously worry, but it's annoying to have to give up activities that make you feel good! Sorry you're dealing with this.

Aww, I'm glad to hear everything is good otherwise! The wait between ultrasound feels like forever when you're pregnant, but hopefully the time will pass quickly and bring good news about movement.
