I've got a Heart Rate training book I'm trying to use to put together my marathon plan, but it's a bit more technical & heavy than I expected.
I'm really just looking to see what % of max HR I should be doing each run at. I don't always wear my monitor, but at least for speed work & long runs it would be helpful. I think I'm finally getting the hang of what an "easy" heart rate run feels like, but the monitor helps keep me honest.
Just wondering if anyone has recommendations or a plan/book to share? I have a feeling a coach would be most useful for this type of thing, but I'm not ready for that type of $ commitment.

You can handle Pfitz, he has training plans that are less than 50 miles a week for sane people. Road Racing for Serious Runners is a good book to ease into, but Advanced Marathoning is a scary book
