Breaking Bad Question

DH and i just started watching on Netflix. We're on the 2nd episode of season 2.

Question--I'm assuming the version on Netflix is basically the "unrated" version compared to what originally aired on AMC. Is that right? We keep asking how they got away with some of this stuff.

As far as swearing, there was swearing when it aired on AMC. I read something about which words they can and cannot say. They can say "shit," for example, but cannot say "fuck" or I think they get fined. I remember reading somewhere that the writer had to decide when he wanted to use "fuck" for a scene when it really needed to be said and just eat the fine.

What is on Netflix is what was on AMC. It is cable so they got away with a lot more than regular network TV.

As it was on TV. A lot of violence and bad language is allowed on cable now.

I was wondering the same thing since we've been netflix binge watching it too. But the nudity too? Did they really show all the T&A on cable?

That was my question. When I think of cable, I think of HBO, Showtime, etc. I have always had AMC, so i think of it as regular tv compared to the premium channels.
