Oh yeah if you have allergies hold off probably. We have no food allergies at all and I still held off on shellfish with Amelia because of the way she reacts to insect bites.
I did straight up BLW with DD2 at 6 months. I started her on steamed broccoli. She would eat anything I put in front of her, but she especially loved sweet potato fries, bananas, steamed carrots.

Sara- I'm having a lot of fun feeding Owen too. Purees are no fun and we have texture issues with Triston but now that he sees Owen eating new stuff wins interested too

BLW has made life SO much easier. Did you do it w your first? We did everything that was mentioned above and also steamed peas, diced baked apple & pears, and I'm sure there is more but I can't remember. Avocado, sweet potatoes, peas, chicken, salmon and broccoli were the main ones.
When we got the ok from ped, we also did scrambled eggs, and things w peanut butter (like toast cut into strips). GL!
